Charity Clay Shoot Raises £500

On Saturday 18th August, at the Southdown Shooting Ground, Findon, West Sussex, the Sussex Masonic Sports and Shooting Association (under the wing of the Artemis Lodge (the Huntress) held a Charity Shoot in aid of Selsey RNLI.

This is a Lodge having been initiated by David Thornley and other keen supporters of rural interests and activities and is due to be consecrated in November 2018 at the Brighton Masonic Centre.

This was a family day consisting of a 100 clay sporting shoot, a pool shoot, a black powder muzzle loading stand (with a flint Lock and a percussion gun) and a BBQ Lunch. The weather was extremely kind and a most enjoyable event was held.

On 12th September, at Selsey Lifeboat Station, a cheque for £500 was presented to our Coxwain, Martin Rudwick and our Mechanic, Phil Pitham.
