SELSEY LIFEBOAT STATION

Record Year for Selsey RNLI Lifeboat Week

Although the weather was not what we would have ordered and a recession as well, the Management Group of RNLI in Selsey is very pleased to announce the total raised during the week was £14,465.53, a staggering £4,000 more than last year.

The Management Group would like to thank you all for your very valued support and to give special thanks to the members of the station’s Fundraising Team for all their hard work in organising the week’s events.

As the RNLI is totally reliant on funds donated and raised by the public every penny that was raised goes to support the charity’s Lifeboats and volunteer crews at Selsey and is used to keep our Lifeboats at the ready and the crew members fully trained and equiped to put to sea in all weather conditions to help those in trouble on the seas.

Thank you one and all.

The Lucky Programme Winner is No. 815. which has not been claimed yet.

The Buy-A-Lifeboat Station was won by a local man and the Lucky Lifeboat Station was Whitby.

Balloon Race

Steve Marsh is the lucky winner of the balloon race. He has kindly donated his prize of a trip on the Selsey Lifeboat to Mrs Kate Woodroofe of 27 Hunnisett Close as he knows she has always wanted a trip on the lifeboat .

The person who sent the balloon ticket back was Mr Alan Dexter of St Leonards on Sea, Hastings East Sussex.
